Aerodata recently unveiled the first prototype of the AeroForce X at its manufacturing site in Strausberg. With the AeroForce X, Aerodata is developing an unmanned MALE (Medium Altitude Long Endurance) aerial system for complex reconnaissance missions.
With a wingspan of 26 metres, a payload of around 1.3 tonnes and a flight endurance of up to 40 hours, the platform can enable continuous monitoring of critical infrastructure – a key component of resilience and national security. As no comparable European solution is currently available on the market, Aerodata is also strengthening Europe’s technological sovereignty with this development.
Aerodata is a long-standing provider of airborne solutions for maritime reconnaissance, border surveillance and the protection of critical infrastructure. By combining this expertise from Lower Saxony with the high-performance development and manufacturing facilities at the Strausberg aerospace hub in Brandenburg, the AeroForce® X stands as a visible symbol of innovation, value creation and a modern defence industry.
