AMOG signs MoU with Thales for LAND 159 / LAND 4108 Program
Australian owned SME, AMOG Pty Ltd, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding
(MoU) with Thales to provide Systems Engineering in support of Thales’ bid for the LAND
159 / LAND 4109 Program. Part of a sustained investment in Australian Army defence
capabilities, this program is for the acquisition and through life support of small arms and
direct fire weapons support systems.
“AMOG is very proud to continue our long association with Thales and join them on this
bid to provide new equipment and systems to enhance the fighting capability of our troops
on the ground.” AMOG CEO, Ben Clark.
With Thales one of three shortlisted companies, it is anticipated that the full Request For
Tender (RFT) will be released in early 2020, as part of a staged program spanning a
number of years.
AMOG has worked with Thales for over 15 years on multiple programs, including the
recently announced sonar test facilities being investigated in Tasmania, and research into
stealth technology for submarine periscopes and optronic masts.
