Asia Pacific Aerospace (APA) has signed on as a Gold Pledge Partner with not-for-profit veteran support organisation Soldier On. The Soldier On Pledge is a standard that assists organisations to create veteran-friendly workplaces for current and ex-services personnel and their families.

With 10 percent of APA’s current workforce being veterans, APA General Manager Tony Cotroneo said this partnership is well aligned with the company. “Being a veteran myself, I understand the need for organisations such as Soldier On and what their support means to veterans and their families. It is an absolute honour to be part of a company that respects and supports the veteran community and, in doing so, pledges to assist where possible. APA is fortunate to be able to donate to a number of charities and having Solder On as one of them is gratifying, knowing what we pledge enables the Soldier On team to provide outstanding support to current and ex-services personnel through their programs.”

Soldier On CEO Ivan Slavich, said this partnership will allow Soldier On to assist the veteran community with greater access to quality employment opportunities. “Soldier On is thrilled to have Asia Pacific Aerospace join the Pledge. In signing the Pledge, APA commits to understanding the needs of the veteran community, recognising the impact that service has on the whole defence family, and doing what they can to support them in securing their futures. We look forward to working with APA to provide greater opportunities to our serving and ex-serving veterans and their families,” Slavich said.

The Soldier On Pledge program currently provides support to more than 3000 veterans and their families across Australia. As a Gold Pledge Partner, APA is providing financial support for Soldier On that will assist with the delivery of Solider On’s vital mental health, wellbeing and education programs. The partnership also officially recognises APA’s long-standing commitment to the veteran community and will broaden the company’s exposure to veterans seeking employment in the aerospace sector.
