RECORD AIR CHIEF INVITATIONS FOR AVALON 2019
AVALON’s reputation as an international business hub will receive another boost in 2019, with a record 73 Chief of Air Force counterparts invited to the event.
“AVALON means business, and that means bringing the world to Australia and taking Australia to the world through high-quality delegations and guests who are here to see what Australian industry has to offer,” said AVALON 2019 CEO Ian Honnery.
“The number of high-level Air Chiefs and industry players reflects this.
“A record number of Air Chiefs have been invited, adding another dimension to AVALON 2019 as an international marketplace and the ideal location for Australian industry to reach out to the world.”
AVALON 2017 attracted more than 33,000 trade visitors, with 158 delegations including military, industry, bureaucratic and scientific personnel from 28 countries and 41 international air chiefs present or represented.
AVIATION MAINTENANCE INDUSTRY CONFERENCE AGENDA FIRMS UP FOR AVALON 2019
The region’s aviation Maintenance and Repair Organisation (MRO) businesses are facing challenges from overseas competition and an acute shortage of qualified engineers at home.
The Growing MRO Business in the Indo-Asia-Pacific Region Conference, to be conducted as part of AVALON 2019 by Australia’s Aviation Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Business Association (AMROBA) will see top-flight MRO experts from Australia and around the region presenting on the challenges and opportunities for the industry.
They will cover MRO developments, equipage, training, regulatory obligations and impacts, and opportunities for more general MRO trans-border tasking.
There will be no charge (FOC) for attendance and participation at this Conference.
AIAC18 OFFERS HI-TECH SPEAKING OPPORTUNITIES

The 18th Australian International Aerospace Congress (AIAC18) will be holding two half-day Technology Application sessions in the Conference Centre at AVALON 2019 at which papers will be presented by speakers from both Industry and Academia.
The organisers of AIAC18 and AVALON 2019 are offering six Avalon Exhibitors anexclusiveopportunity to speak at one of these sessions, to an engaged audience.
The Technology Application sessions are designed for an audience of users and operators, not just technologists and academics. This is an opportunity to present your technical credentials to an expert and influential audience – and to invite your own network to hear the message also, free of charge: there is no fee payable to attend the two AIAC18 Technology Application sessions at Avalon: you just need to be a registered delegate at AIAC18, or a registered Trade Visitor at AVALON 2019.

Innovation Award winners offered chance to present at AIAC18
Three of the winners of the AVALON 2019 Innovation Awards, to be presented on the afternoon of Wednesday 27 February, will also be invited to deliver a presentation on their successful entry on Thursday 28 February at the 18th Australian International Aerospace Congress (AIAC18).
Organisers of AIAC18 have allocated three speaking slots on Thursday 28 February to Innovation Award winners at the AIAC18 Technical Session, to be held in the AVALON 2019 Conference Centre.
