BAE Systems Australia is welcoming 58 graduates to its national defence and security business and immediately begin recruiting for more than 90 graduates to start in 2023. Last year, the company provided more than 140 early career opportunities to students through internships, apprenticeships and graduate roles. The company now has more than 250 young people within BAE Systems’ early careers programs. Recruits in 2023 will join a refreshed graduate program that covers a wide range of fields including engineering, project management, finance, human resources and commercial. They can choose to be placed into an ongoing role or to experience three one-year structured placements in different specialist areas within BAE Systems’ national operations.
The graduate program also offers tailored training and mentoring, flexible work practices and the opportunity to collaborate and network with other graduates across the country. Underpinning the recruitment drive is the company’s commitment to the research and the development of world leading technologies including hypersonics, autonomy and high speed weapons to support the requirements of the Australian Defence Force together with major programs ramping up.
The upgrade of the Jindalee Operational Radar Network is critical to the nation’s defence and security and this major program is proceeding at pace. So too is the Hunter Class Frigate program along with major maritime and aircraft sustainment programs, including support of Australia’s fleet of F-35 Joint Strike Fighter and the Hawk Lead-in Fighter fleets.

University students wanting to apply for the graduate roles should be:
- In the final year of their degree or recently completed their degree
