KONGSBERG is celebrating the second anniversary of its participation in the Australian Government’s Global Supply Chain (GSC) Program, marking two years of strengthening Australian sovereign industrial capability and creating export opportunities for local defence industry with 17 contracts awarded.
Since joining the GSC Program in July 2024, KONGSBERG has worked closely with Australian suppliers to integrate locally manufactured products and capabilities into its global supply chain. The program has enabled Australian companies to compete for international opportunities while supporting the growth of advanced manufacturing and highly skilled jobs.
Over the past two years, KONGSBERG has achieved significant milestones, including securing export contracts for Australian-manufactured Naval Strike Missile (NSM) Coastal Defence command and control consoles and NSM launchers destined for European allies. These exports demonstrate Australia’s ability to manufacture complex, world-class defence capabilities that meet the demanding standards of international customers.
