Leidos Australia announced that it has been awarded a contract for security services within the Department of Defence Chief Information Officer Group (CIOG) Deployed ICT Services Contract. The Leidos Australia contract is valued at A$47.3 million over a three year period.
Defence’s deployed ICT network environments provide essential command, control and situational awareness. They also provide allied and partner interoperability services for Australian Defence Force (ADF) elements deployed on operations and exercises. This includes troops in the field, ships at sea, joint headquarters and support bases deployed domestically, regionally and across the globe.
The Deployed ICT Services program transforms the sustainment of capabilities across key networks used by the ADF. It ensures ADF personnel can access and exchange mission critical information at the right time and place. The Leidos Australia contract is for the delivery of security services that encompass security operations monitoring, security incident response, network protection and endpoint protection. Leidos Australia will employ an additional 29 team members in Melbourne and Canberra plus provide roles for local partner companies thus strengthening Australia’s sovereign industry capabilities.
“We have a longstanding relationship with Defence CIOG, providing innovative, secure and sustainable industry-leading solutions and services,” said Paul Chase, Leidos Australia CEO. “Defence is highly reliant on information and digital communication wherever they operate. Through this contract we will provide security services within the deployed ecosystem. We look forward to collaborating with CIOG, the Service Delivery and Capability Mangers for the deployed environments and other partners to provide a reliable secure warfighting and business network in the rapidly evolving deployed environment.”
