Major General (Ret’d) Maurie McNarn has joined RAFAEL Australia as the manager of strategic relationships. During his service with the Australian Army, McNarn filled various positions including as Australian National Commander in Iraq and the Persian Gulf, head of Army Personnel, head of Training Command and in his last role served as the director of the Defence Intelligence Organisation. He has also served in Malaysia and Singapore, attachments in the United States, as well as Lebanon and Syria, as part of the UN force. After retiring from the ADF, McNarn was chief operating officer for the University of Queensland and held other senior private business roles, and as a director on business and government boards. In his new position with RAFAEL Australia, McNarn will support the company’s ongoing strategic marketing activities and cooperation in Australia and will serve as its lead point of contact for ADF and ministerial leadership personnel.
