New Zealand Defence Minister Jonathan Coleman has confirmed that he is
considering purchasing 11 Seasprite helicopters rejected by Australia in
2008.

The cancellation of the Australian contract – which had seen
Australia spend $1.1 billion on acquiring 11 helicopters – led to the
aircraft being put back on the market. New Zealand feels that the many of
the issues that concerned Australia have now been resolved.
