Nova Systems has proudly placed 11th in the 2022 WRK+ Best Places to Work study as the company continues to strive to be an employer of choice in Australia – and the world.

Founded more than 20 years ago, Nova Systems is a leading Australian-owned and operated engineering and technology solutions company.

Nova Systems Chief Executive Officer Jim McDowell said he was thrilled the company had been recognised as a top employer.

“Nova Systems is incredibly proud to be recognised at number 11 on the 2022 Best Places to Work study,” Mr McDowell said.

“Our people are at the centre of everything we do. We value everyone from our graduate engineers to our leaders because they are the reason why we are a truly great place to work.

“We pride ourselves on being an organisation of smart people helping solve complex challenges as we strive to make our world safe and secure.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to our people – without them none of the great things we do would be possible.”

Mr McDowell said Nova Systems recently introduced “Ways of Working”, with the aim of better recognising and valuing our people to support their lives and wellbeing.

“The COVID-19 pandemic taught us a lot about the importance of being flexible and agile to support wellbeing and ensure our people are happy and thrive,” Mr McDowell said.

“Our people have given us great feedback on our new core work day hours of 10am and 3pm because it gives them the opportunity to drop off or pick up the kids from school or go to an appointment and finish their work when it suits them.

“We want our people to love coming to work and we want to get the best out of our people so we’re committed to innovating and evolving so we can continue to strive to be the best place to work in the future.”

Charith Ranatunga, a Graduate Systems Engineer, said he was attracted to work at Nova Systems because of Nova’s well-known “amazing work culture.”

“I’m glad I took the opportunity at Nova Systems as I’ve met and worked alongside some phenomenal engineers that inspire me to work hard and aim higher,” Charith said.

Chrissie Sorgini, a User Experience and Technology Change Lead, said she has loved the opportunities Nova Systems has offered her.

“At Nova Systems, I love the diverse backgrounds of the teams, I love the impactful work that the business is involved in and I love the support the management team has given me to progress my career,” Chrissie said.

“Most importantly, at Nova Systems I’m afforded the flexibility to balance working full time and taking care of my family.”
