Ocean Software has been selected by SkyAlyne to provide the Resource Management and Scheduling (RM&S) capability as part of the training system supporting Canada’s Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). Under the agreement, Ocean will deliver its FlightPRO and TAMS solutions to support the planning, scheduling and management of training operations across the FAcT program, with implementation activities expected to commence in the coming months.
SkyAlyne, a joint venture between CAE and KF Aerospace, is the Prime Contractor for the FAcT program, which will modernise pilot and aircrew training for the RCAF. The program will operate from 15 Wing Moose Jaw (Saskatchewan), 15 Wing Southport (Manitoba), and 17 Wing Winnipeg (Manitoba), and includes introducing five new training aircraft fleets – with 71 total new aircraft. The program in managed jointly by industry, military, and government from a Joint Management Office in Ottawa (Ontario).
