HDA signs deal with Elphinstone for Redbacks

Hanwha Defence Australia (HDA) and Elphinstone of Tasmania have signed a contract for the manufacture of all 129 Redback vehicle hull structures under LAND 400 Phase 3. The work to be conducted by Elphinstone under the contract is valued at approximately A$90 million and will sustain employment for approximately 95 personnel, at the company’s site in Wynyard, North-West Tasmania, over the course of project. This contract marks a further continuation of the relationship between the two companies, enhancing Australia’s sovereign Defence Industry manufacturing capability. HDA is already working with Elphinstone on the LAND 8116 Phase 1 Protected Mobile Fires program for the Huntsman family of vehicles.
