Lockheed Martin to create new PAC-3 missile maintenance facility

Lockheed Martin plans to establish a dedicated PAC-3 Missile Maintenance Facility (MMF) in Poland to support NATO’s integrated air and missile defence across Europe. The PAC-3 MMF in Poland will support the growing community of NATO Allies operating PAC-3 interceptors by performing onsite repair, refurbishment, lifecycle support and re-certification, enabling rapid turnaround for resupply and integrated testing. The facility will build on a deeply integrated transatlantic industrial partnership, with Germany, the Netherlands, and Sweden— original signatories to the agreement alongside the U.S. and Poland—playing important roles in the supply chain. “For more than 75 years, Lockheed Martin has been a trusted partner to Europe— strengthening regional sustainment, expanding production capacity and accelerating the delivery of critical missile defense capabilities. The PAC-3 MMF represents the next evolution of that partnership, bringing essential sustainment support to our European allies and ensuring these advanced defense systems remain available when and where they are needed most,” said Tim Cahill, president, Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control. The new facility will be fully integrated with Poland’s existing defence industrial ecosystem, creating high‑skill jobs, expanding opportunities for local suppliers, and investing in local communities to enhance the resilience of the allied industrial base. “Lockheed Martin is a permanent part of Europe’s security landscape. Lockheed Martin’s growing footprint here underpins European collective strength and prosperity,” said Jay Pitman, president, Lockheed Martin International. “This announcement establishes deeper industrial partnerships in Poland, Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden, and we are expanding opportunities for American and European suppliers, strengthening supply chain resilience on both sides of the Atlantic and investing in capabilities that reinforce our shared defense industrial base. Together, these efforts are building lasting transatlantic industrial strength and reinforcing security and readiness for decades to come.” Lockheed Martin will continue to be an enduring partner to Europe, advancing its security, industrial strength and prosperity. Together with European industry, the company is building the capacity and resilience needed for deterrence today while building a diverse range of partnerships across Europe to create a stronger, more autonomous and interoperable European defense ecosystem well into the future. Demand for PAC-3 MSE, the world’s most advanced air and missile defence interceptor, continues to grow worldwide, driven by its combat-proven performance. This year, the U.S. government awarded Lockheed Martin $58.62 billion to continue accelerating PAC-3 MSE production, ensuring U.S. allies have the advanced air and missile defense capabilities they need to defend what matters most.
