Palo Alto Networks and Telstra establish technology alliance

Global security company Palo Alto Networks and Australia’s largest telecommunications company Telstra have partnered to deliver an enhanced suite of cyber security products and services for Telstra’s Australian and global business customers. Palo Alto Networks becomes the first dedicated cyber security company to be named a technology alliance partner supporting the Telstra enterprise customer segment, servicing customers across more than 200 countries and territories. Telstra’s technology alliance partners work together to co-create and deliver end-to-end services covering connectivity, voice and professional services that help businesses of all shapes and sizes tackle their biggest problems – and seize their biggest opportunities. The new alliance with Palo Alto Networks expands and strengthens the two companies’ close 10-year relationship. It also builds on earlier agreements between Palo Alto Networks and Telstra that saw the additions of SecureEdge Cloud for business customers and Sovereign SecureEdge for Australia’s government and agencies to Telstra’s SecureEdge portfolio of advanced next-generation cloud-delivered security services. Telstra Enterprise Group Executive, David Burns, said: “Cyber security has become one of the top concerns among businesses globally, including here in Australia, and especially in the wake of a number of high-profile cyber breaches. We are now seeing the industrialisation of cybercrime and the scale of threat continues to grow and evolve. As a result, we all need to be constantly changing, adapting and looking at new technologies that can help protect us and our customers’ data. As a leading network, managed and professional services provider, this new alliance between Telstra and Palo Alto Networks further boosts our capabilities to help customers protect their organisations and data from evolving cyber threats.” Steve Manley, Regional Vice President for Australia and New Zealand, Palo Alto Networks, said: “This new alliance with Telstra reinforces Palo Alto Networks’ position in the Australian market as the premier cyber security vendor to Australia’s leading telecommunications carrier. It also reinforces our increased commitment to providing industry-leading joint solutions with one of Australia’s most trusted managed service providers. Together, Palo Alto Networks and Telstra will collaborate to provide businesses with best-of-breed cyber security solutions to help keep them safe in a rapidly changing market landscape.” For Editorial Inquiries Contact: Editor Kym Bergmann at [email protected] For Advertising Inquiries Contact: Director of Sales Graham Joss at [email protected]
