Quantum Frontline Industries (QFI), the German-Ukrainian joint venture between Quantum Systems and Frontline Robotics, has secured a new contract for Linza and Zoom drones from the National Guard of Ukraine, following its initial production program in 2026. The larger follow-on contract comes as QFI significantly expands its manufacturing capacity in Germany for 2027, confirming the joint venture’s ability to bring Ukrainian-developed systems into industrial-scale production. The follow-on contract builds on QFI’s first year of production, which remains on track for completion in 2026. In parallel, QFI is significantly increasing its manufacturing capacity for 2027 to support higher production volumes and further demand. The contract covers Linza multi-purpose drones and Zoom reconnaissance drones, both developed by Frontline Robotics based on operational requirements from Ukraine. Established under the “Build with Ukraine” initiative, QFI is the first European-Ukrainian defence-industrial joint venture. “QFI was established with a clear objective: to combine Ukrainian engineering and operational experience with German industrial capacity and scale,” said Matthias Lehna, Managing Director of Quantum Frontline Industries. “Over the past year, we have shown that we can build up production quickly and reliably. The follow-on order by Ukraine proves that are model works. For our team, that is the strongest confirmation of what we have built. Now it is about demonstrating that we can deliver at even larger scale.” “A follow-on order is one of the strongest validations a defence technology can receive,” said Pavlo Kosolapkin, CTO and Co-founder of Frontline Robotics. “Linza and Zoom are continuously evolving based on operational requirements and direct feedback from Ukrainian units. This contract allows us to scale systems already shaped by battlefield experience while accelerating further development, localization and supply-chain resilience.” “Having a Ukrainian-developed alternative to widely used foreign systems is of strategic importance to Ukraine,” said Major General Oleksandr Pivnenko, Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine. “Expanding production in Germany gives us access to additional, urgently needed capacity while keeping Ukrainian technology and operational experience at the core. It allows proven Ukrainian-developed systems to reach our units at significantly greater scale.” The new contract and the fivefold expansion of production capacity mark the next stage of QFI’s transition from initial production ramp-up into sustained high-volume manufacturing. With production in Germany and continued development based on operational experience in Ukraine, the joint venture provides additional industrial capacity for Ukrainian-developed unmanned systems in Europe.
