Toll Group announced a new community partnership with Soldier On Australia that will see a $50,000 contribution go toward initiatives that deliver assistance to serving and ex-serving Australian Defence personnel and their families. Soldier On is a trusted collaborator with the Australian Government, the Defence Industry, and the wider Ex-Service Organisation (ESO) community. Their mission is to deliver life-changing support services, programs, and activities, to serving and ex-serving Defence personnel and their families across Australia. Toll Group through their Government and Defence business, deliver innovative solutions for operational excellence and mission success such as relocating crucial resources and infrastructure, establishing, and maintaining remote base camps at speed, coordinating complex logistics programs, providing world-class training or delivering critical rotary wing or port agency services. On the back of the recently acquired Defence Theatre Logistics contract with the ADF, Toll now has over 1,500 employees dedicated to Government and Defence contracts – including many ex-Veterans. President of Toll Government and Defence, Perry Singh expanded on their motivations for joining forces with Soldier On. “Whilst we have supported and contributed to many community and social initiatives over the years, we felt the time was right to increase our contribution and formally partner with a reputable organisation that has Defence members and ex-Veterans at the very heart of what they do. We couldn’t be happier and prouder to partner with Soldier On and contribute to the fantastic work that they do – as well as assist with some more exciting plans in the future”, said Mr. Singh. Soldier On’s CEO, Paul Singer is equally proud of the partnership announcement and what this will mean for veterans and their families. “To get the support of such a large, global organisation and recognised Australian brand like Toll Group we think is an amazing endorsement of the work that we’re doing. Together, this partnership will allow us to continue to enable Defence families who are facing challenges in their lives to get the right support, at the right time – which is so important to us and Toll Group.” Toll will also donate $1 to Soldier On for every ADF Defence Relocations Survey completed as part of their long-standing relocations contract. Every year, Toll relocate approx. 23,000 ADF members and their families as part of the annual posting cycle, with that activity including a feedback survey at the conclusion of the relocation or move. Mr. Singh explains, “We think that is a natural connection to link what we are already doing at Toll for Defence personnel and their families through our Defence Relocations contract, to what Soldier On are doing every day to assist serving and ex-serving Australian Defence personnel and their families. Every little bit helps.” For Editorial Inquiries Contact: Editor Kym Bergmann at [email protected] For Advertising Inquiries Contact: Group Sales Director Simon Hadfield at [email protected]
