As the latest company to sign the Soldier On Gold Pledge, Varley Group joins more than 100 veteran-supportive companies working in partnership with Soldier On to enable current and ex-serving veterans and their families to thrive. Established in 1886, Varley Group now comprises of engineering facilities at Tomago, Carrington, Sydney in NSW, Narangba in Qld and its entities: Norship in Cairns & Darwin, SEM Fire & Rescue in Ballarat, and IDES in Melbourne. Varley Group Managing Director Jeff Phillips said signing the Soldier On Pledge allows Varley Group further opportunities to give back to those who have served our Nation and formalise Varley Group’s commitment to the support of the defence community. “With defence bases located in close proximity to all Varley Group sites, utilising the high value skill sets of our veterans is not only a benefit to busines, it helps eliminate the under employment of those who have given so much,” Phillips said. “The Varley Group and Norship are also committed pledge partners to the Prime Ministers Veterans Employment Commitment, and we view this opportunity to join with Soldier On as a further enhancement to attract veterans to our family company for employment opportunities.” For Editorial Inquiries Contact: Editor Kym Bergmann at [email protected] For Advertising Inquiries Contact: Director of Sales Graham Joss at [email protected]
