Visionary Machines has secured a contract with Singapore’s Cap Vista, through its open innovation platform connecting national security challenges with global technology providers, to trial the company’s Pandion Perception system on an autonomous platform.

By providing passive 3D sensing, localisation and navigation capabilities, Pandion Perception has the potential to support autonomous systems and defence applications across a variety of operational environments.”
The trials will assess the performance of Visionary Machines’ passive 3D sensing capability across a range of operationally relevant environments and conditions. Specifically, the activity will evaluate Pandion™ Perception’s integration with an autonomous platform for sensing, perception, localisation, mapping and navigation functions.
The work is expected to examine how the Company’s passive optical 3D sensing technology performs across different terrain, lighting, environmental and operational conditions.
This engagement positions Visionary Machines to demonstrate the effectiveness of Pandion™ Perception’s 3D sensing platform with a credible, technically demanding defence organisation for sensing and navigation on moving autonomous platforms. Success in these trials has the potential to open the door to further discussions on deploying the Company’s sensing capability across additional classes of autonomous platforms.
