This award celebrates companies pushing the boundaries of innovation in the region’s tech industry. Selected by a distinguished panel of judges, DroneShield said it is proud to be recognised for its advancements in defence technology, exemplifying excellence in the rapidly evolving counter-UAS market.

The NVTC is a trade association representing the Northern Virginia technology community. As one of the nation’s largest technology councils, NVTC recognises the region’s visionary companies, leading executives, and emerging innovators who are at the forefront of driving innovation, developing groundbreaking technologies, and significantly contributing to economic growth.

“We are honoured to join this esteemed group of technology innovators,” said Matt McCrann, Chief Executive Officer of DroneShield LLC. “This recognition affirms our commitment to safeguarding communities through cutting-edge solutions in counter unmanned technology.”

DroneShield also won a top US award for hiring veterans. U.S. Acting Secretary of Labor, Julie A. Su, recognised DroneShield as a recipient of the gold HIRE Vets Medallion Award. The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act (HIRE Vets Act) Medallion Program is the only federal award program that recognises employers who are committed to veteran hiring, retention, and professional development in the United States.

DroneShield, headquartered in Warrenton, Virginia, and a pioneer in counterdrone technologies and solutions, recognises the critical value veterans bring to the workforce, specifically in fields demanding high levels of discipline, technical expertise, and leadership. This is DroneShield’s third consecutive year as recipients of the HIRE Vets Medallion Award.

“Our veterans bring a wealth of experience and a commitment to excellence that aligns perfectly with our values at DroneShield,” said CEO McCrann. “We are deeply honoured to receive the HIRE Vets Medallion Award; it’s a true testament to our ongoing commitment to providing veterans with rewarding careers, and to supplement our team with the highest level of expertise in the defence industry.”

DroneShield continues to leverage the expertise of its veteran employees to develop advanced solutions that address critical security challenges for defence, government, and public safety customers. With their focus on innovation, DroneShield continues to expand its impact within the defence industry while prioritising the professional growth of its team members.
