Exail Robotics Australia has announced the appointment of Tony Fraser as a non-executive director. With over 45 years of experience spanning defence, industry and commercial sectors, Fraser’s extensive expertise will be invaluable in steering Exail towards new opportunities in Australia.
Fraser’s distinguished career includes 34 years in defence, reaching the rank of major general and commanding at all levels in Army Aviation. An accomplished aviator, Fraser accrued over 5,500 hours of flight, predominantly in helicopters. His overseas service encompassed the UK, Middle East, Canada and the US. Following his military career, Fraser transitioned to the private sector, holding pivotal roles such as the Managing Director for Australasia at Leonardo and Airbus Australia Pacific. He returned to Defence from 2018 to 2022 as Deputy Secretary Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group in the Department of Defence.
In addition to his military accomplishments, Fraser is a Harvard Business School graduate and has been honoured as an Officer in the Order of Australia and awarded the Conspicuous Service Cross.
