Omni acquires AMW Professional Services

Omni, an Australian sovereign defence SME, has expanded its capability offering with the acquisition of AMW Professional Services, reaffirming the company’s commitment to advancing Australia’s sovereign defence capabilities and delivering customised solutions for client requirements. AMW has built a reputation for providing a team of highly qualified professionals to deliver tailored defence services to clients. Since 2003, AMW has steadily grown with market demand and evolved into a highly regarded technology development and service delivery company. AMW is an ‘above the line’ contracting firm providing professional services to the Australian government throughout the capability life cycle, from initial concept through to disposal. AMW has consistently produced outstanding results in complex and large-scale projects and programs for its clients, supported by a workforce with a high proportion of Australian Defence Force veterans. Integrating AMW into Omni’s existing service delivery will strengthen the capability offering to existing and new clients. The acquisition will see Omni’s presence expand into the maritime sector, complementing existing services in aerospace, consulting, security, and vetting. CEO of Omni, Jon Hawkins said: “In a global environment that is becoming increasingly complex, individuals, businesses and governments face an ever-growing list of threats that generate traditional and non-traditional risks to people, assets, infrastructure, systems and interests. Omni protects individual, corporate and national interests from those threats. The acquisition of AMW will strengthen our offering to meet growing challenges and therefore the adapting requirements of our clients now, and into the future. We will continue delivering solutions in the most complex and demanding environments. To support Australia’s defence capabilities, there must be Australian-owned defence companies with sovereign capabilities. AMW’s reputation has been built on providing highly qualified and professional people to deliver tailored services to our clientele. This is a natural cultural and capability fit with Omni’s trusted, proven team. As part of our commitment to growing sovereign capabilities in Australia, the AMW acquisition will position Omni to further support the Government as defence spending increases over the next decade and our national security becomes more uncertain.” AMW Managing Director, Tony Wright said: “It has been a pleasure to build AMW, and its outstanding team from the beginning in 2003 to what it is today. AMW has steadily grown with market demand and evolved into a highly regarded technology development and service delivery company. Like Omni, AMW’s through life capability life cycle, from initial concept to disposal, has consistently produced outstanding results in complex and large-scale projects and programs. AMW’s General Manager Sonya Hogan added: “I support Omni’s vision for growth and dedication to increasing Australia’s sovereign defence capabilities. With the addition of AMW to Omni’s service offering, current and future clients will benefit from this integration. Our two companies are strongly aligned in culture and values, and I look forward to our people working together as they continue to support Australia’s national interests.” For Editorial Inquiries Contact: Editor Kym Bergmann at [email protected] For Advertising Inquiries Contact: Director of Sales Graham Joss at [email protected]
