Hanwha Bulletin APDR Leaderboard (1068 x 130) (C4I FINAL)RYAN AEROSPACE (AUSTRALIA) has launched its latest mixed reality flight simulator offering, the Immersive Training Device (ITD) Gen 2.

With hundreds of Gen 1 products already out in service with the US Air Force, US Navy and other customers, this new device offers unparalleled sophistication with more modularity and reconfigurability. The key differentiator with this new device is that most parts are adjustable using electric actuators. This means the seat and the rudder pedals can easily be moved into the correct position to match the real aircraft type. Whether it be a T-38, F-16 or F-22, the new ITD allows the user to be in the correct seating position with correct design eye point which is very important, especially for mixed reality devices.

The side panel pods and main instrument panel are also modular allowing quick and easy configuration between aircraft. Each module is completely independent with its own power supply, powered USB hub and ethernet switch.

Managing Director Chris Ryan said that he was very proud of his team who have been developing this new product all year. “Working very closely with Vertex Solutions and other partners in the US, pre-orders have already been taken and we are about to deliver the first of a number of devices in a T-38 configuration to the US Air Force for their Fighter Bomber Fundamentals training course.
