AvalonSovereign Capability Group has announced its acquisition of Insitec, a systems and solutions provider to the defence sector. Sovereign Capability Group’s mission is to invest in market-leading defence technology and sustainment businesses with the goal of creating local Australian capability with meaningful scale.

Managing Director of Sovereign backer Whiteoak, Greg Garvin, said that he is “delighted to support Sovereign Capability Group to acquire Insitec. The company offers a range of digital-related services such as cyber security, cloud computing, ICT infrastructure sustainment, systems engineering and integration, and software development. Insitec has a proven track record of delivering complex and mission-critical projects, leveraging its deep domain expertise and delivery capabilities.

Sovereign Capability Group has invested significant capital to complete the Insitec acquisition and aims to build on its established export programs and expand Insitec’s service and product offerings, with a group vision to grow and support the Australian Defence Force with local talent and true in country capability. Collectively, this will solidify Insitec’s status as a leading defence contractor. Sovereign Capability Group’s investment directly supports the Government’s intent and stated objectives to grow sovereign companies set out in the National Defence Strategy, the Defence Industry Development Strategy and the Integrated Investment Plan.
