AtkinsRéalis announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Coras, an Australian defence and national security advisory consultancy with offices in Canberra, Sydney and Adelaide.
AtkinsRéalis said it is making a long‑term commitment to Australia’s future by bringing together its global Defence expertise with Coras’ deep Australian defence experience. Through this third acquisition in Australia, AtkinsRéalis is aiming to support the defence sector by strengthening strategic decision making, enhancing program and portfolio governance, and improving assurance across complex defence initiatives. Together, the two organisations will focus on the sustained uplift of Australia’s sovereign defence industrial base and helping the Australian Defence Force deliver its long‑term ambitions.

The agreement reflects AtkinsRéalis’ long-term commitment to Australia and responds to growing demand for partners that can combine strategic advice, specialist expertise and delivery insight. As defence programmes increasingly focus on capability uplift, resilience and long-term outcomes, the ability to bring together advisory and technical expertise becomes more important.
