Boresight has signed a lease for a new 812 square metre manufacturing facility in Huntsville, Alabama that is about 15 times the size of its current US site. The three-year lease, with extension options, marks a significant step-up in Boresight’s ability to serve growing US military and industry demand for its aerial target drones.
The company will invest in additional 3D printing and supporting technology to lift production scale. Initially, the facility will be capable of manufacturing more than 5,000 units of Boresight’s BQ-400 aerial target drone annually, with plans to eventually produce the BQ-750 Block 2 and full Boresight range of products for the US market.
US-based manufacturing supports a “Made in the USA” positioning, reducing exposure to import tariffs and trade policy risk while cutting delivery lead times and freight costs. Huntsville, a key US defence and Counter-Uncrewed Aerial Systems (C-UAS) hub, has supported Boresight since it established its US entity there in 2023.
Boresight has already taken occupancy, with production transitioning from its existing site between August and end-September 2026. The Fyshwick, Australia facility remains the company’s innovation hub and continues serving non-US markets.

The ability to service US customers directly from our US facility increases our responsiveness to customer requirements whilst reducing delivery lead times and freight costs. It also helps to insulate Boresight from US Government decisions on import tariffs and other policy changes that may occur. Our Fyshwick, Australia hub will remain a key part of the Boresight footprint, manufacturing for nonUS customers and as the place where we innovate and develop new products.”
