UMIS ImageTUSAS Engine Industries Inc. (TEI) and GE Aerospace have reached an agreement extending TEI’s license to conduct F110 Depot Level Maintenance services for several countries which operate F-16 & F-15 fighter aircraft. The collaboration will further strengthen ties between TEI and its long-term partner GE Aerospace in military engine services.

TEI is a leading global manufacturer of defence power, leveraging its many years of experience supporting the Turkish defence industry, in partnership with GE. TEI and GE Aerospace have successfully collaborated for many years and are now poised to play a critical role in supporting F110 engine in-service support globally.

As a GE-certified service provider with a proven track record in the field of MRO, TEI can provide F110 Engine MRO services for a number of countries that fall within its license coverage. Now recognised as a regional F110 Depot in OEM’s (GE) supplier network, TEI is performing duties associated with the Engine Structural Integrity Program as well as the Service Life Extension Program.

“We are very excited to be a part of the F110 MRO supplier network as a ‘Regional Depot’ and eager to work with our long-term partner GE to fulfill the service needs of F110 operators,” said Prof. Mahmut Faruk Aksit, general manager of TUSAS Engine Industries, Inc.

“Considering capacity needs due to increased demands, we are committed to provide our best-in-class service for F110 engines with on-time-delivery, highest quality standards, low turn-around-times at competitive price levels. Having performed F110 engine production for the complete F-16 Aircraft fleet of Turkish Air Force (TurAF) and worked with several countries in the region for F110 Engine MRO, TEI is the right partner for GE Aerospace to cooperate in its global F110 Engine MRO campaigns.” Aksit added.

“We are proud to continue our longstanding relationship with TEI, who has a strong reputation as an MRO service provider for our F110 customers globally,” said Shawn Warren, vice president and general manager, Combat and Trainer Engines, Military Systems at GE Aerospace. “This agreement will allow our international F110 operators to have enhanced support and services in the region.”

TEI is one of the largest producers of parts for F110 engines, as well as licensed MRO facility not only for Türkiye but also for several countries for GE’s T700 used in Black Hawk, Seahawk, Super Cobra and Apache helicopters, and GE’s F110 engine, used in F16 and F15 fighter aircrafts and GE’s LM2500 gas turbines, used in the Barbaros, Gabya and ISTIF class frigates (MILGEM-I), the Ada class (MILGEM) corvettes and the DIMDEG fleet oil replenishment vessel.
