Thomas Global Systems announced that Andrew Hutchinson has been appointed Managing Director of its Australian defence business unit. In this new role, Hutchinson will be responsible for leading and developing the company’s defence systems business in Australia.

Hutchinson was previously Vice President of Engineering and Programs, overseeing the group’s engineering and program management teams across commercial and military programs in Australia and the United States. Hutchinson has overseen many of the Company’s most significant projects including the development of Next Generation Biocular Display technology supported by the Australian Government’s Defence Innovation Hub, the Australian Army’s Boxer CRV Training System project for Rheinmetall Defence, the Australian Army’s ASLAV Crew Procedural Trainer program, the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins Class Submarine ISCMMS remediation project and the TFD-7000 EFIS/EICAS avionic display development for Delta Air Lines, Inc.
