South Australian Tech Company Expands Operations
Forecast business growth has prompted high‐tech South Australian defence firm APC Technology to
relocate to larger premises, allowing it to meet increased customer demand.
Opening the new premises in Cheltenham, the Minister for Defence Industries Martin Hamilton‐Smith
said APC Technology’s expansion was another example of the transforming South Australian economy.

are investing in developing lean manufacturing techniques, to stay ahead of competitors, are part of a
new and exciting future for South Australia.”
APC has moved from Stepney to a significantly larger site on Port Rd to cater for recent and future
growth. Scott Begbie, Managing Director of APC Technology further commented, “The longevity of APC
Technology’s success has been achieved through the forging of long term partnerships with our
customers across diverse industries and the adoption of advanced manufacturing techniques.
This has ensured we remain innovative, responsive and highly regarded. The move to our new premises is a

Currently employing 25 staff, APC Technology has been a leading producer and supplier of specialist
computer solutions since its establishment in 1984.
Background
The new location provides 1500 sqm over two levels and provides expanded in‐house testing capabilities,
an expansion of innovative technologies, such as 3D printing and laser engraving, and an increased
manufacturing capability.
