BAE Systems to expand presence at the Australian Marine Complex

BAE Systems Australia has signed agreements with local authorities to expand its presence at the Australian Marine Complex (AMC) in Henderson, Perth, the company announced on 28 November.

The long-term lease agreements secure shorefront land and the adjacent seabed. They signal BAE Systems’ continued investment in the AMC facility, where it undertakes construction, repair, upgrades, and refits of Royal Australian Navy (RAN) vessels.

BAE Systems Australia’s maritime director, Bill Saltzer, said the company planned to invest more than AUD20 million (USD18 million) in further developing its site within the AMC. “The seabed lease and the renewal of the shorefront land at Henderson is significant to the next phase of growth for the company,” he said
