Cirrus Real Time Processing Systems announced it has secured an export order for its Air Combat Officer Training System (ACOTS) for supply to an EU nation.
The ACOTS training system has been developed by Cirrus in collaboration with RAAF Air Mission Training School (AMTS) instructors to provide end to end simulation of the air mission battle-space and the operation of platform sensor, weapons, avionics and mission systems within a tactically immersive synthetic environment. ACOTS has been used successfully since 2011 for providing air mission training of RAAF aviators at the Air Mission Training School.
Cirrus’ Managing Director, Peter Freed stated: “We are a proud Australian company delivering Australian developed technology to Defence. Consistent with the Defence Industry Development Strategy (“DIDS”) recognition that exports grow both the resilience of Australia’s defence industry base and industry’s capacity to support Defence, I am very pleased to announce that Cirrus has secured an export order to an EU nation for the ACOTS system in support of air mission training. This export order confirms the quality and competitiveness on the world market of Cirrus’ ACOTS – an Australian developed simulation technology – and underscores the industrial capabilities resident in Australia for air mission training.“
