Mohammed bin Rashid receives Australian Defence Minister

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai ,received the Australian Defence Minister Senator David Johnston and his accompanying delegation on Sunday at Al Marmum Resort in Dubai.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them to serve the common interests of the two friendly countries. They also discussed the issue of military and technical cooperation between the UAE and Australia, particularly issues related to the exchange of experts and joint training sessions between the armed forces of both countries.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Lt. Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Major-General Mohammed Ahmed Al Qamzi, Major-General Khamis Mattar Al Muzaina, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, Pablo Kang, Ambassador of Australia to the UAE, along with a number of military officials.
