Total Veteran Healthcare is a dedicated veteran healthcare provider with an Australia-wide network of primary, allied and specialist services. They work with some of Australia’s leading clinicians and facilities to provide patients with veteran-centric medical care.

A meaningful step towards increasing veteran access to healthcare, the Total Veteran Healthcare Outpost in RSL Queensland’s Veteran & Family Wellbeing Centre is a point of contact for veterans for education about medical support for wellbeing goals and continuity of care throughout ongoing medical treatments.

RSL Queensland Deputy CEO – Veteran Services Troy Watson said RSL Queensland welcomed Total Veteran Healthcare to the Veteran & Family Wellbeing Centre in Brisbane, joining a growing list of veteran wellbeing organisations in supporting veterans and their families. “Since opening the Centre in late 2023, we have evolved the service offering and opportunities available for the veteran community, this includes welcoming more ex-service organisation and government programs, to the delivery of veteran-focused events,” Mr Watson said. “We know that every veteran’s experience is different depending on their stage of life. And, as their circumstances evolve, they may encounter challenges such as relocating with a young family, experiencing an injury, or transitioning out of Defence to start a civilian career. That’s why our network of Veteran & Family Wellbeing Centres provides a holistic range of support services and programs in one convenient location. For many veterans, accessing healthcare can often come with its challenges, but the addition of the Total Veteran Healthcare Outpost in our Brisbane Centre will remove some of these barriers enabling more veterans to have timely and appropriate access to veteran-centric healthcare.”

Open five days a week and located within the RSL Queensland Veteran & Family Wellbeing Centre Brisbane, the Total Veteran Healthcare Outpost includes a nurse-led medical team with service-aware GP. The Total Veteran Healthcare Outpost provides health assessments and specialist referrals, including support for DVA claims and for veterans on existing Coordinated Veteran Care plans.

Total Veteran Healthcare CEO Josh Hall is proud to partner with RSL Queensland and provide veterans with greater access to healthcare via the RSL Queensland Veteran & Family Wellbeing Centre. “RSL Queensland is one of the oldest, most trusted bodies in veteran support services. They have been doing the work for Australia’s veterans for a very long time. We are a young service in comparison, but we are dedicated to the veteran community, and honoured to have been welcomed into the brilliant Veteran & Family Wellbeing Centre,” Mr Hall said. “The Total Veteran Healthcare Outpost enables us to bring healthcare access directly to veterans, instead of the other way around. We see this partnership as an extension of our shared values including integrity and cooperation, to removing the barriers that prevent veterans from receiving the high-quality healthcare they deserve.”

Located in Stafford, RSL Queensland’s Veteran & Family Wellbeing Centre Brisbane is purpose-built to offer physical rehabilitation, mental health, employment, advocacy, financial and other specialist services, plus social and recreational activities.
