POWERFUL LINE-UP OF NSW DEFENCE INDUSTRY AT LAND FORCES 2018
The NSW Government will feature some of the State’s best defence companies at Australia’s premier land defence expo, Land Forces 2018, in Adelaide from 4-6 September.
Twelve organisations and their leading capabilities will be showcased on the NSW Government stand ranging from electronic warfare specialists and experts in live fire target training solutions, to component designers and armoured vehicle displays.
Minister for Trade and Industry Niall Blair said this is a unique opportunity for exhibitors to meet with potential suppliers and customers from around the world and discuss new business and investment opportunities.
“Land Forces is a key international defence industry exhibition that will allow NSW to showcase its amazing range of capability, technology and services to the Australian Defence Force and regional security partners across the Indo-Asia-Pacific region,” Mr Blair said.
“There is increasing demand for defence assets to safeguard regional security and NSW has the smarts and manufacturing capabilities to deliver what’s needed.
“Some of the NSW companies to be showcased are bidding for or have already won contracts under major Army programs, including the recent $5 billion Land 400 Phase 2 for 211 new combat reconnaissance vehicles.”
Rojone of Ingleburn was one of a number of NSW-based companies which signed teaming agreements with winning Land 400 Phase 2 bidder Rheinmetall.
All the major defence primes operate in NSW and are supported by a strong supply chain of SMEs with deep, specialist capabilities.
Last year, Land Forces exhibition held in 2016 attracted more than 10,450 visitors and 464 exhibitors from 22 countries so this will be a great opportunity for NSW.
