BAE Systems continues air support role for ADF

BAE Systems will continue its role supporting Australia’s military air operations with the announcement of a new four-year contract with the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

The AU$9m contract is to provide mission system support services for ADF military operations through the Air Component – Command and Control Capability System (AC-C2CS).

BAE Systems Australia Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance General Manager Chris Keane said: “The AC-C2CS supports the planning, preparation, execution and reporting of military air operations. This system plays a critical role in facilitating continuous military operations, supporting ADF air operations 24 hours a day every day of the year. We are delighted to secure the new four-year contract, with options for a further two two-year extensions, and continue our successful association with the ADF.”

Ten BAE Systems employees will be based at Headquarters Air Command, RAAF base Glenbrook, NSW and at Headquarters Joint Operations Centre in Bungendore, ACT.
