The Australian government has renewed Boeing’s participation in its Global Supply Chain Program to provide Australian industry with more opportunities to export products, services and technology into the company’s global supply chain. During the next five years, Boeing is on track to top A$1 billion of awarded export contracts to Australian suppliers since joining the program in 2007.
Australian industry supports Boeing’s commercial aircraft and defence products, research and development, and the company’s Australia-based businesses. Boeing has provided more than 1,600 bid opportunities that have resulted in more than A$820 million in export contracts awarded to 70 suppliers across the country. Recent successes include:
- Mincham, a family-owned Small and Medium-sized Enterprise in South Australia, is manufacturing composites and fairings for the future Australian fleet of 29 AH-64E Apaches.
- Carbon Revolution in Victoria has developed a more sustainable CH-47 Chinook wheel concept that is 35% lighter and as capable as the current wheel.
- Ferra Engineering in Queensland has recently been awarded JDAM ER wing kit export contracts as well as the Vertical Spar Box for Australia’s future fleet of Apaches.

As part of the program, Boeing also provides Australian companies with marketing, training and mentoring support.
