APDR BannerAdIntegrated Surveillance and Defense (ISD) said it has completed its CN235 maritime surveillance mission simulator, purpose-built for the Royal Malaysian Air Force and the Indonesian Navy. With this simulator, ISD reinforces its commitment to delivering sophisticated airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) training solutions to its clients.

Engineered in cooperation with the UK company, JD2E, the CN235 simulator replicates real-world ISR and maritime operational scenarios, allowing elite aircrew to master mission-critical skills in a safe, immersive environment. Trainees can process intelligence data, manage advanced airborne ISR systems, and execute key tasks such as identification, analysis, reporting, and delivery of threat warnings to commanders—all within a dynamic, scenario-based framework.

Central to the simulator is a desktop-configured dual mission console featuring two operator seats, four high-resolution displays, comprehensive mission system controls, an EO/IR turret simulator, radar simulation, an AIS interface, and mission management software. This integrated platform ensures a highly realistic simulation experience for both Mission System Operators and Tactical Coordinators as it is tailored to the systems that are unique to their aircraft’s mission systems.

A dedicated instructor operator station enables instructors to develop, start, pause, and manage exercises, while incorporating variable weather conditions, sea states, time-of-day settings, and dynamic mission entities. Sessions can be replayed and analyzed for comprehensive crew evaluation and debriefing. For expanded capability, an optional cockpit simulator module delivers full crew-level training with aircraft-specific controls, out-the-window visuals, and seamless system integration.

Through this advanced simulator, ISD empowers Malaysian and Indonesian defense personnel to achieve maximum operational readiness and mission success, supporting secure maritime operations and regional security.
