Airbus Defence and Space has appointed Johannes Müller, 46, head of Communications and head of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), effective 1 January 2022. He succeeds Dirk Erat who left the company at the end of October to pursue other business opportunities. In his new role, Müller reports to Julie Kitcher, executive vice president Communications and Corporate Affairs at Airbus. At Airbus Defence and Space, he is also a member of the divisional Executive Committee under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer Michael Schoellhorn.
Müller joins Airbus from BSH Hausgeräte in Munich where he had served as vice president Communications since 2017. Before that, he served as director marketing Communication for both BSH Hausgeräte as well as Robert Bosch GmbH. In his spare time, Müller has been working as an accomplished freelance photographer since 2011 with a focus on conflict and war photography.
