https://mastconfex.comKBR announced that it will be delivering sustainment services that will ensure the Australian Defence Force has a more modern, assured and resilient satellite communications service. The company has been selected as the industry partner to sustain Aggregated Monitoring and Control (AM&C) of Satellite Earth Stations. The program of work will be supported by specialist Australian SME Blacktree Technology and US based Kratos Defense & Security Solutions.

An initial program of work was awarded to Clearbox Systems Pty Ltd, a KBR company, which has successfully designed and implemented a remote, centralised monitoring and control system for the earth stations located across Australia. Clearbox System’s role continues to focus on the provision of remote, centralised operation of SATCOM ground and space assets in Australia and overseas and aggregating operation of these assets. The contract aligns with KBR’s recent MINERVA (SEA2273) contract where the company is equipping the Royal Australian Navy with a more modern Fleet Information Environment.

KBR Vice President GS APAC Nic Maan said: “We have brought together the best of Clearbox System’s capabilities with KBR’s world leading Deployed ICT skills. Our solution will provide Defence with more efficient, secure and capable communications.”
