Leidos has named Andrew Campbell as Leidos Australia’s Vice President, Business Development. In his new role, Campbell will lead the local team of capture and business development professionals responsible for all new in-country business pursuits.
Campbell, who was the company’s Director of Capture Operations, started in his new role on August 14. At the same time, Leidos Australia’s previous Vice President Business Development Hans Tench moved into the newly created role of Vice President Asia Pacific Business Development and Australia Strategy.
Campbell brings over two decades of business development, programme management and business operations experience to the role. He first joined Leidos Australia in August 2016 as a Capture Manager, becoming Head of Capture Operations a year later, before being promoted to Director Capture Operations in August 2020. Prior to joining Leidos, Campbell worked for Lockheed Martin and BAE Systems in the UK, working across a range of program management, operational and business development roles.
Leidos Senior Vice President Strategy & Business Development Jason Albanese said: “Andrew’s deep understanding of the market and our business, together with his excellent leadership skills, will ensure our outstanding local business development team continues to solve our Australian customers’ most challenging problems, and by doing so, drive the next phase of our strong growth.”
Leidos Australia Chief Executive Paul Chase said: “I have no doubt that Andrew’s extensive experience and strategic acumen will prove a valuable addition to our Executive Team. Having worked closely with Hans over the past seven years, he is perfectly placed to ensure a seamless transition as we look to accelerate our plans for growth.”
Campbell has a Bachelors’ degree of Engineering in Ship Science from the University of Southampton and is part way through an Executive Masters of Business Administration with the Australian Graduate School of Management at UNSW. He is a graduate of the Lockheed Martin Engineering Leadership Development Program, the Executive Development and Growth Enhancement Program, and the Lockheed Martin Business Development Leadership Academy.
