Current edVirtus 9 Jan 26 web banner 728x90On the occasion of DIMDEX, the Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF) and Leonardo celebrated the completion of deliveries for the Qatar’s NH90 helicopter fleet with the last of the 28 units delivered in late 2025.

This milestone testifies the quality of the programme and results from the effective and enduring collaboration between QEAF and the industry (including NHIndustries JV and its partner companies — Leonardo, Airbus Helicopters and GKN Fokker — as well as all players who contribute to the NH90 programme with systems, equipment and services).

The Qatar Emiri Air Force is one of the NH90 end-users that successfully operates both the TTH (Tactical Troop Transport) and the NFH (Naval Frigate Helicopter) versions of the helicopter for land and naval operations.

The first batches of the NH90 TTH and NFH aircraft achieved operational readiness in 2022 logging, to date, a remarkable total amount of 7,400 flight hours and consistently achieving an average serviceability of above 80%. Furthermore, a total of more than 6.800 training hours have been recorded over the years with the support of military instructors from the Italian Armed Forces.
