Technologies (REBTECH), a maker of Night Vision Illumination Systems (NVIS), design, manufacture and integration services, has announced that David Thompson has joined the company as director of Business Development and Strategy. This high-profile addition marks an important next stage in the expansion of the company’s international business strategy highlighting the REBTECH commitment to NVIS. As a compliment to its primary business focus, REBTECH has joined in the effort to combat against obsolescence parts in the aviation industry. REBTECH’s Repair Specification Program has eliminated BER for a major customer while reducing AOG from 18 months to 4-6 weeks. With its broad aviation experience base, REBTECH is a one-stop solution for NVIS, avionics integration, certification and distribution of aircraft parts and components. Thompson’s vast experience and in-depth knowledge of the aviation global parts business is seen as a vital link to REBTECH’s future success.

Thompson brings over 45 years of aviation experience across a wide range of aerospace operators and maintenance organisations. Prior to Thompson’s arrival to REBTECH he held senior positions with; Heli-One, as Head of Sales Operations for Asia, PAC, Vice President Business Development at Vector Aerospace and Chief Operating Officer with Vallair in Luxembourg. Most recently, Thompson was the Chief Operating Officer for the Taranis Aerospace Consulting Group. He has extensive experience in the aerospace sector having previously worked for BAE after serving in the RAF for 27 years as an Engineer Officer.
