Hanwha Bulletin APDR Leaderboard (1068 x 130) (C4I FINAL)A new partnership between Nova Systems and the Latrobe Aerospace Technology Precinct (LATP) allows Nova Systems to safely test advanced drone technologies in field – developing new capabilities for use by the Australian Defence Force and the private sector.

“There’s a global trend towards drone technology for both Defence and in the public domain where they will be used more and more, such as for services and delivery,” Nova Systems CEO Dean Rosenfield said. “As a leading provider of Test and Evaluation services, the Latrobe precinct gives us access to state-of-the-art flight test facilities and airspace to safely test drones on an operational aerodrome. We can then use that data to accelerate innovation in our digital testing capabilities. For example, we are developing and testing Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms to detect and differentiate objects on the ground. We’re grateful to work closely with Latrobe City Council. This collaboration ensures we lead the way in autonomous technology innovation, enhancing safety and efficiency in drone operations.”

The partnership will establish a more permanent presence at the Latrobe Valley Technology Precinct, fostering local industry growth and collaboration.

“This partnership at the Latrobe Aerospace Technology Precinct supports the diversification of industry in our region, growing future employment opportunities and strengthens the local economy. We are thankful to Nova Systems for their consideration and investment,” Mayor of Latrobe City Council, Councillor Dale Harriman, said.

The Latrobe Aerospace Technology Precinct at Latrobe Regional Airport is located between Morwell and Traralgon and is owned by Latrobe City Council.
