QinetiQ today announced their involvement in Operation Legacy Australia Kokoda Challenge 2017.
This August, QinetiQ Australia Managing Director Greg Barsby will lead a group of QinetiQ employees across the 96 kilometre Kokoda Trail to raise much needed awareness and funds for Legacy Australia.
Mr Barsby said: “As a member of the Australian defence industry, we are committed to giving back to service members and their families through corporate contributions, employee volunteer efforts and fundraising activities.”
“As well as being a corporate partner for this initiative, we have pulled together a team of dedicated employees from across the company to raise funds for Legacy Australia and take part in this worthwhile initiative.”
Legacy Australia Chairman Tony Ralph said it was pleasing to see defence industry get so hands on to support Legacy.
Mr Ralph said: “QinetiQ’s support and the funds raised by the team will greatly assist with Legacy Australia’s national youth developmental programs and help Legacy make a real difference to the lives of families who have suffered as a result of the service of a family member.”
