Saab has been awarded a contract by the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) for the supply of 22 combat boats, valued at approximately SEK 900 million. The order was officially booked in the second quarter of 2025.
Manufactured at Saab’s Docksta shipyard, the combat boats are advanced maritime platforms capable of supporting a wide range of missions. Deliveries will take place progressively over the coming years.
“This order represents a significant addition to Sweden’s naval capabilities. We are proud that Saab’s combat boats continue to contribute to Sweden’s defence,” said Mats Wicksell, head of Saab’s Kockums business area.
The Docksta shipyard has a long-standing history of producing combat boats for the Swedish Armed Forces, dating back to the late 1980s. Since then, hundreds of vessels have been built and delivered to customers worldwide.
This latest order follows a previous one in June 2024, when Sweden purchased ten additional boats from Saab.
