Shoal Group has announced the appointment of Mike Hartas in the dual role of Deputy CEO and Head of Programs. He will lead client delivery activities across Shoal’s diverse technology programs, ranging from aerospace safety analysis to design support to some of Australia’s largest and most complex infrastructure projects.
“Mike has extensive experience in driving successful programs and teams across multiple national domains,” says Shaun Wilson, CEO and Founder of Shoal. “His skillset is a complementary fit that will continue to drive Shoal’s culture of innovation, and technical and engineering excellence.”
Hartas brings more than a quarter of a century of experience in technology intensive industries which has seen him lead the development of Australian owned Small to Medium Enterprises and the introduction of innovations into global markets, leveraging established networks and capitalising on IP from adjacent markets. As an accomplished technology executive, he has championed the introduction of systems engineering to ensure new products meet market needs while reducing development times. He has worked with cross functional teams to align strategy, business capture, delivery, and governance.
Already familiar with Shoal, Hartas has previously advised the company on projects as diverse as armoured vehicle design to space launch operations. “My focus will be on listening to our customers and project stakeholders to ensure we can deliver them the best outcome,” said Hartas. “I look forward to working with the Shoal team at this exciting time in our future growth.”
Hartas will commence with Shoal early in the new year.
