security company Axonius announced its expansion into the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region as it continues on its rapid growth trajectory, scaling to address global cybersecurity demands for Cyber Asset Attack Surface Management (CAASM) solutions. Since its founding in 2017, Axonius has skyrocketed to a $1.2 billion valuation with US$195 million in funding. Achieving 187 percent year-over-year growth in recurring revenue in the first half of 2021 alone and more than doubling its staff over the past year, Axonius continues to grow its team and market impact.

Internationally, the company has experienced a surge in customers and revenue, more than doubling its customer roster, expanding to eight new countries, and increasing international ARR by 230 percent. “Increased IT complexity is driving massive demand for solutions that simplify and automate manual processes to make organisations more secure,” said Dean Sysman, co-founder and CEO, Axonius. “Our commitment to innovation in solving these challenges has positioned us for rapid expansion into new markets that will reap the benefits of cybersecurity asset management.”

The new APAC team includes Vern Fernhout, regional director; Dean Plant, senior sales engineer; and Hasanka Wicks, channel sales director. They bring a combined 40+ years of experience in enterprise tech and will operate out of a new regional headquarters in Australia. “Axonius solves a foundational problem for organisations. By providing a simple, fast way to gain a comprehensive understanding of all assets and their adherence to security policies, security teams can more efficiently and effectively manage risks, navigate complex digital transformation programs, and satisfy regulatory and compliance frameworks,” said Fernhout. “I look forward to working closely with organisations across the APAC region to solve what is one of the industry’s most pervasive challenges.”

Axonius was the first to tackle solving the growing challenge of asset visibility in complex IT environments. The company ensures that hundreds of brands around the world have the confidence to control complexity by providing a solution to mitigate threats, navigate risk, decrease incidents, and inform business-level strategy — all while eliminating manual, repetitive tasks. Earlier this year, the Gartner Hype Cycle for Network Security identified Axonius as a Sample Vendor in Cyber Asset Attack Surface Management.
