https://www.milcis.com.au/Dragonfly, a geopolitical and security intelligence service for the world’s leading organisations, announced the appointment of Cvete Koneska as head of advisory. In her newly created role, she will be responsible for leading the firm’s global political and security advisory practice. Koneska has more than 10 years’ experience in political risk analysis and consulting. Over the past decade, she has worked closely with businesses, investors and governments, helping them operate securely and successfully in complex environments across the globe. Koneska, who holds a DPhil in Politics from Oxford University, combines academic and policy expertise in post-conflict and foreign policy analysis to deliver bespoke risk solutions to clients.

Prior to joining Dragonfly, Koneska was a research director at sustainability data and analytics company Arabesque. She began her career as a risk analyst at Control Risks, subsequently moving on to work for intelligence and cyber security consultancy S-RM as head of risk analysis.

The appointment comes at a time when Dragonfly is strengthening the advisory consulting services it provides to its global clients, which range from multinationals and banks to multilateral agencies and NGOs, in response to growing demand for intelligence essential for the success of their businesses. As part of its wider intelligence offer, Dragonfly informs decision-makers with tailored security intelligence and political risk assessments, and provides insights to model risks and frame forecasts for individual clients’ strategic planning.

David Claridge, CEO of Dragonfly, said: “In the dynamic, complex and politicised business risk environment we find ourselves in, it is essential that alongside our subscribable products we have the capability to support our clients with their specific intelligence and analytical needs. We have seen great demand for advisory services and we have risen to the challenge of completing a wide variety of security and geopolitical risk assignments. As a result, we are strengthening our capability to deliver bespoke advice. Cvete’s substantial global expertise is a great addition to our strong team and I am confident she will be a driving force to further grow our advisory services.”
