RAIDER Targetry have announced the appointment of experienced senior executive Paul Fisher as Chief Commercial Officer. Fisher has over 30 years international senior management experience including serving in the UK Defence Force, and most recently held the position of CEO of Regional Development Australia Sunshine Coast where he advocated for and promoted the many entrepreneurial businesses thriving across the greater Sunshine Coast.
“I am delighted to be joining the team at Raider at a time of significant demand and growth both domestically and internationally. I am joining a team of incredibly talented and dedicated Australian engineers who design, build and operate systems that enhance the skills and capabilities of our soldiers in the most realistic training environments,” Fisher said.
Designed and manufactured in Australia, the RAIDER Mobile Moving Target System (MMTS) is a day/night combined arms moving target system that adds variable dynamic elements to any live fire or live simulation training. The self-propelled electric system is capable of moving a wide range of available trailer and target combinations, including printed day targets and active thermal profiles at speeds approaching 40 km/h (25mph).
In order to make the system as life-like as possible the modular target mount allows the unit to give the appearance of an armoured vehicle, truck or car.
Welcoming Fisher to the team, Co-Founder and CEO, Mick Fielding said, “We are embarking on a period of significant domestic and international growth as we continue to roll out the system and continue to develop its capability that will further enhance its training capabilities. Paul will be instrumental in working with new and existing clients as well as stakeholders so they understand the application of the system and the versatility it offers in a wide range of training scenarios. Paul’s extensive background in government relations, international commercial operations, defence and senior management were exactly what we were looking for in our CCO and we are delighted that he has joined us as we embark on the next chapter,” Fielding said.
