Robotican, a leading Israeli pioneer in autonomous robotic and drone technologies, has announced the successful delivery of dozens of ROOSTER hybrid drone systems to European special operations forces, intervention units, and infantry teams.

This major delivery milestone highlights growing international confidence in Robotican’s flagship system. Recently, the ROOSTER secured official NATO registration, solidifying its position as a combat-proven, trusted asset aligned with the defence standards of NATO military forces.

The ROOSTER is a compact, hybrid tactical drone that combines aerial agility with robotic ground mobility—making it ideal for indoor, subterranean, and GPS-denied environments. Its innovative design enables rapid switching between flying and rolling, offering energy-efficient manoeuvrability in complex and confined spaces. A protective cage supports robotic rolling across challenging terrain, while the system maintains up to 90 minutes of active operation and 5 hours in standby mode.

Equipped with MESH communication, the ROOSTER can operate in teams of up to three units—even in environments without external connectivity. It features a day/night IR-sensitive camera, visible/IR illuminators, and supports swappable payloads including thermal imagers, oxygen, and radiation detectors.

This makes the system highly adaptable for tactical reconnaissance, urban search & rescue, hazardous materials response, and industrial safety inspections. Lightweight and rugged, the ROOSTER can be deployed by a single operator from a tactical backpack—providing instant situational awareness with minimal exposure.

“The ROOSTER was developed as a strategic response to the growing need for precise intelligence in challenging environments where access is limited and situational awareness is critical,” said Hagai Balshai, CEO of Robotican. “Its adoption by the Israeli Ministry of Defense, Home Front Command, and elite European and US special operations forces reflects its field-proven value. NATO registration further positions the ROOSTER as a trusted asset for allied operations in the modern battlespace.”
