AF Indra Banner Defensa 728x90pxSilentium Defence announced a strategic manufacturing partnership with REDARC Defence & Space. By combining Silentium Defence’s cutting-edge passive radar technology with REDARC’s world-class manufacturing capabilities, the collaboration will accelerate the delivery of next-generation surveillance solutions to Australia and the wider global market.

Silentium Defence’s passive radar systems give defence forces and commercial customers a discreet way to monitor potential threats, from drones and aircraft to objects in Low Earth Orbit, without being detected. Using reflections from everyday signals, such as television and radio, these systems provide a strategic advantage for covert surveillance and can be deployed quickly with minimal setup.

Dr James Palmer, Global CEO of Silentium Defence said; “Partnering with REDARC Defence & Space enables us to scale the production of our passive radar systems here in Australia, ensuring our customers have rapid access to the most advanced covert situational awareness technologies available. With global tensions and increasingly contested domains driving demand for resilient, next-generation defence capabilities, we are scaling operations across the US, UK and Australia. Our passive radar technology is being adopted by defence and space customers across the globe, to help our allied nations strengthen their own capabilities in both defence and commercial arenas. Our ambition is to lead the world in passive radar – building sovereign capabilities, bolstering national security and creating high-value career opportunities for our people along the way.”

The collaboration underscores the importance of Australian innovation and local supply chains in enhancing national security. Both companies are committed to fostering a robust domestic defence industry that can meet current and future challenges.

“Our collaboration with Silentium Defence is a prime example of Australian companies working together to deliver world-class sovereign capabilities,” said Anthony Kittel, CEO, REDARC Defence & Space. “This partnership is vital for integrating advanced technologies into critical defence platforms, ensuring our forces have access to the best possible solutions manufactured right here in Australia. It’s about building a robust, self-reliant defence industry that can meet current and future challenges.”

The manufacturing partnership between Silentium Defence and REDARC is already underway with both organisations set to work together for the next three years.
